Veteran Employment Through Technology Education Courses

If you have at least one day of unexpired GI Bill® benefit, with VET TEC you may be eligible for:

  • Tuition for a full-time high-tech training program
  • Money for housing during your training
You may be eligible for VET TEC if you meet these requirements
  • You aren’t on active duty or are within 180 days of separating from active duty, and
  • You qualify for VA education assistance under the GI Bill, and
  • You have at least one day of unexpired GI Bill entitlement, and
  • You’re accepted into a program by a VA-approved training provider

Your VET TEC training won’t count against your GI Bill entitlement, and you need only one day of unexpired GI Bill benefits to participate.

POST 9/11 GI BILL®

The Post 9/11 GI Bill provides education benefits that cover a percentage of tuition and fees, depending on how long you have served in the military.

Monthly Housing Stipend

This portion of the benefit is paid directly to the veteran each month he or she is enrolled in classes. The housing stipend is based on the institution’s zip code and your training schedule.

How to Qualify

If you have at least 90 days of aggregate active-duty service after September 10, 2001 and:

  • Are still on active duty, or
  • Are an honorably discharged veteran, or
  • Have a service-connected disability

...then you may be eligible to use Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits.

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Virginia State Approving Agency has approved Virginia Career Solutions to provide GI Bill education benefits.
